Fraudulent Text Message Scam – October 4, 2016 [Learn More]
We have received information from our credit card processor that cardholders have received fraudulent text messages saying, “Credit Union Alert - call 901-290-0593.” These texts are coming from (844) numbers. Once you call, an automated system says, “Hello! Thank you for calling our 24-hour Security Department. To reactivate your card please press 1.” After pressing 1 the system asks for the 16-digit credit card number.
Please note that we will not ask for your card number! This is a scam!
